Flood Relief Efforts

Students, Staff and Patrons,

As many of you may remember, our school district conducted a week-long fundraising campaign to raise money for students and families in three neighboring school districts. Our modest goal was to raise $10,000 in total to distribute to the school districts in Arlington, DC West and Fremont.

We have always known the people in our school district are caring, supportive and willing to help when called upon. This fundraising event provided another example of the abundant generosity of the patrons of Bennington Public Schools. In one week, without the need for dress up days or class competitions, our school district was able to raise over $24,000.

The Bennington Public Schools’ Foundation will make donations to the school districts of Arlington, DC West, and Fremont next week. Your donation will help many students and families on their journey to recovery from this historic event.

The administration of these three school districts truly appreciate the generosity of the Bennington community. In communication with the administration of these school districts, they have shared several stories of students and families that have lost much, if not all, of their belongings. They are thankful to have funds that they can distribute to the many families in need.

The students and staff of Bennington Public Schools appreciate the generosity that people living in our school district have demonstrated over the years. We thank you for your support in helping other communities in the area recover from the effects of this recent flooding event.
